Fahad Bin Sultan University (FBSU) has recently participated in a workshop on “The Role of Higher Education Private Institutions in Achieving Quality Education Performance and Outcomes.” The workshop, which was organized by the UNESCO, was held in Amman on August 16, 2018.

Prof. Abdallah Malkawi, the FBSU Chancellor, and Prof. Sameer Bataineh, Dean of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, have represented FBSU in this event, which is considered as one of the research activities sponsored by the UNESCO’s Regional Center of Quality. Professors Malkawi and Bataineh have pointed out that the workshop housed various work sessions that discussed several topics, including assessing the quality of higher education institutions’ outcomes, defining the role of these private higher education institutions in raising the education quality, and providing a variety of proposals to develop the institutions’ quality and outcomes.

At the end of the workshop, Prof. Malkawi and Prof. Bataineh extended their thanks and appreciation to Dr. Khalid Bin Mohammed Al-Jarallah, the Chairperson of the scientific research team of the UNESCO Regional Center of Quality and the Director General of the Private Higher Education Directorate, and to Dr. Aaidh Al-Qarni, the Advisor in the Ministry of Education for organizing and holding such effective and fruitful workshops so as to keep pace with the latest modern scientific developments in the quality of education.
