Today, Fahad bin Sultan University hosted an exceptional guest lecture titled " Building Codes in Focus: Evolution, Goals, and Mega Projects in Saudi Arabia," delivered by the renowned expert Dr. Ahmed Al-Shuraim.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Shuraim is a distinguished structural engineer with extensive experience and advanced academic qualifications from the University of Michigan and King Saud University. He boasts an impressive career, including:
· Former Professor at King Saud University (1990–2013)
· Major influencer in Saudi engineering standards
· Former Advisor to the Governor of the Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization (SASO) (2013–2020)
· Current Director of Engineering Codes & Standards at NEOM
· Chair of the Structural Committee in the Saudi Building Code since 2001
· Prolific researcher with two international patents and numerous publications
· Fulbright Scholar and active contributor to scientific committees of the American Concrete Institute (ACI)
