About the Deanship
The Deanship of Student Affairs (DSA) is one of the supporting Deanships at Fahad Bin Sultan University (FBSU). The DSA strives to enrich students’ experiences beyond the classroom by providing extracurricular activities, events, and dedicated services that support students’ overall needs and contribute to their personal, academic, cultural, social, and professional development.
The Deanship coordinates and supports non-academic student affairs and works to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive university environment. Its responsibilities include:
● Supporting and promoting the University’s values, mission, policies, and behavioral standards.
● Providing diverse extracurricular activities and programs that develop students’ social, cultural, scientific, sports, and leadership skills.
● Organizing orientation programs to help new students adjust to university life and understand its opportunities and challenges.
● Supervising campus programs and activities and encouraging faculty-student interaction.
● Supporting student well-being, healthy living, and a safe and secure campus environment.
● Supporting students with physical, psychological, and learning disabilities.
● Assessing students’ educational and social experiences to enhance institutional programs and services.
● Establishing effective relationships with the local community and collaborating with academic and administrative units across the University.
● Providing opportunities that foster a sense of community, leadership, personal development, and responsible citizenship.
● Effectively managing the Deanship’s human and financial resources.
Through its services and programs, the Deanship of Student Affairs supports students in their adjustment to university life and contributes to preparing them as well-rounded graduates and responsible citizens who are prepared to succeed in academic, professional, and career fields.
